Our story

A little bit of Zen, a little bit of Amigos.

Every idea begins with a dream: the desire to create something of your own, something that brings people together.

ZENAMIGOS grew from that feeling, shaped by different cultures, a love for food, and the simple joy of sharing good moments around a table.

With roots in Nepal and a life shaped in Barcelona, our journey has been influenced by the places we’ve lived, the people we’ve met, and the experiences we’ve gathered along the way. Working in gastronomic kitchens, Michelin-starred restaurants, and fine-dining establishments taught us the importance of dedication, creativity, and attention to detail. Over time, those experiences, combined with our passion for food and the desire to create something of our own, became the inspiration behind ZENAMIGOS.

Our concept brings together creative brunch, carefully prepared sushi, good coffee, and flavours inspired by different cultures, all with our own personality and a welcoming spirit.

The meaning behind our name

Zendraws inspiration from dhyāna, a Sanskrit word meaning meditation or contemplation, connecting the meaning of Zen to the ancient spiritual roots of Nepal. As these traditions travelled through Asia, they developed into Chan in China and later Zen in Japan, where Zen became associated with mindfulness, simplicity, harmony, and being present in the moment.

For us, Zen is a reminder to slow down, appreciate the little things, and find a moment of calm in the middle of a busy day.

Amigosthe Spanish word for friends, represents warmth, happiness, and togetherness. Because some of life’s best moments happen when we share them with others.

Together, these ideas inspire ZENAMIGOS: a place where flavours meet, cultures come together, and good food becomes part of a good moment.

What began as a dream became a place we could finally share with you. Bringing together our experience, passion, and love for hospitality, we created ZENAMIGOS as our own expression of what good food and good company should feel like.
